So pistons came out and the first thing I wanted to make was a automatic wheat farm. (I knew this could happen but I wasn't expecting it to be so bad.) So my farm is pretty decent sized, so I get lots of wheat, but problem is the drops disappear.
I harvested it by hand and got 8 stacks of wheat and 10 stacks of seeds, I then harvested it using the water and pistons and I only got one and half stacks of wheat and five stacks of seeds. Am I missing something or is this supposed to like this to perform better on the weak Xbox. I also think it may be because I am too far away from the drops so they despawn or something like that.
Anybody have any idea whats going on? I didn't build a automatic wheat farm to harvest it by hand.

I recall there being a limit of 200-something drops on the screen at any given time. That very well may be your problem.

You could always build it out with a delay so that it washes over the farm in sections allowing you enough time to pick up one sections' drops before the next one is released.
