Oh, and if you havn't seen episode 1 or 2 of The Minecraft 360 Project, check those out as well at YouTube.com/Minecraft360Project. Episode 4 should be out tomorrow!
We Need a sub board for 360 videos IMO. This will get lost pretty quick. I didn't watch yet but, I've seen enough LP'ers get lost in the shuffle of slime, release time/date, and general question posts. Good luck brother!!!! I will watch later and hope to learn something new.

Who doesn't? Lol. Most people who point out that others dupe, dupe themselves. It's the building part of Minecraft that's impressive. No one cares how deep a mine is(although, imo, it is satisfying to know you spent the time to gather resources and build something). But, still, anyone working on anything other than a small world, dupes; there's no question about that and no denying it.

I don't care about the duping. All that glow stone look ugly as hell. Your water canals are a mess. I look at this as an example of why duping hurts play style. Sure, its done and you got slime, but the sheer waste of resources, and the lack of understanding how water works proves my point. But waste away, its your game.
Here's what a slime farm should look like, Legit, no waste and functional.
Mobavator design in middle thanks to Static's Tut. (made with glass so anyone can see the how to)
[
A mix of torches, and lava held back by slabs looks better then glowstone mania any day. Notice how few water steps needed to push Slime along? Water canals are an Ethos design, and another great source of tut vids.
Harvest Area, where an torch alarm outside goes off when slime present, pistons to crush, or door control to get slime manually.
Now that's a huger Slime trap. Legit.
Again, don't care if you dupe, but ugly and waste is ugly and waste.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
Seatbelts are not as confining as Wheelchairs. Buckle up.
Underground will never be seen, resouceses were not an issue, it was made to work, not planned out to conserve resources or look good.
Besides that, I applaud you guys for recognizing the survival aspect of the game; I too enjoy the satisfication that comes with gathering resources and making due all while fighting of mobs, but it didn't seem so bad for a slime farm? At any rate, I have a save on USB(because I back up my game a few times a week), before I started on the slime farm. Prior to the slime farm, everything was mined(granted I invite a friend or so every now and then). So, if you guys want TM360P to be all legit, I can revert to that. But, %90 of people on Xbox dupe, and PC... let's just say no-one has a big world without mods or creative... Anyways, I can revert and scrap the Slime farm for the series, but, still, most of you who point out duping either dupe yourselves OR use creative and/or mods in PC for all of the 'big' projects you work on.
So, that's my thoughts, I don't think you guys should be so hostile towards me, maybe just advice? It's a new series and it's going to be awesome! Your guys' input is helpfull, but trying to downgrade something I've built isn't nice. I still put time into placing everything and editing a video, friendly advice would be nice.
Episode 4 will be out later today, I'll decide to scrap the slime trap or keep it by then; let me know your guys' oppinions.
Haha I commented basically disagreeing with duping and he's blocked me and removed my comment, of your duping then just dupe the slime balls I don't see the logic in creating a slime farm? Let's see you delete this comment! And I basically did that one random fires posted up, followed a YouTube tutorial.
Because you were MEAN about it. I'm all for advice and strongly encourage viewers input for the series, but you were being mean. If you want to be un-blocked, I will, but give advice or oppinions, don't put someone down because they did something unlike what you would have...
My only opinion (which isnt related to the vids or anything like that) its your assumption that 90% of us dupe, thats a big percentage to be throwing around out there o.O

I guess that's thing that gets me most. You dupe a massive slime farm and show it off as the best thing ever. Mean while you could just dupe the first slime you find and be done with it. It's the thinking that gets me. If your going to dupe, why farm?
Still looking for advice? Stop laying down glowstone everywhere! Mix it up. Glowstone is practically cobble. Woop woop its lit up! It still looks like crap in large numbers. Just like any block does. It is the biggest eyes sore next to cobble. At the very least bury it a block down so you get a light effect and shadow, without seeing the glowstone directly.
If your duping, you have an unlimited array of wool colours, slabs, stairs,wood... Anything beats flat, one material walls.

But it's far from inaccurate. Maybe not %90, but it sure feels like %90 do. Maybe a extremely small amount of people on this forum dupe, but XBL as a whole... completely different story. BUT, I would rather appeal to the people who care about Minecraft with my series; so, if you guys(who I look at, appear to care a lot about Minecraft) think I should take the series down the path of being %100 legit, I can do that. The glowstone(and some signs) were the only things duped. Everything else was me, and a friend or so every now and then, going absolutely no-life with mining. So, if you guys' collectively think I should take the series down the path of being %100 legit, I'm not against it.
But, if I do go down that path, I expect advice and oppinions and involvement from you guys and no downgrading... This series is just getting started and is going to be huge for showing that 360 is worthy of as much praise as the PC version on YouTube and within the Minecraft community.
So, keep the advice coming and give your oppions; become a fan and subscribe to the channel to support the series and the 360 version of Minecraft.
Going to work on episode 4 now, be on the look out.
I think you should continue doing your series.
Whether you dupe or not is completely up to you.
But when you post links on the Minecraft forum, expect some flak for duping. Anywhere else, or youtube alone is great.
Post in the screenshot section if your just showing off your world, unless it's some sorta Tutorial or something new.
I don't question the dupe, although if you dupe, why farm?
Dupe usually ends up big, not quality. It clearly shows in your vid. This isn't the case for all who dupe, but most.
It is more due to the player then the dupe.
As to your series; think about what audience you are looking for. Even on utube you will attract non-dupe purists. If your looking to attract the kiddies who all dupe, shrug the elitists off, and keep your course true and steady.
If your looking to attract the Minecraft players far and wide, not duping leaves nothing negative for any to say or comment on.
There is no reason you cannot do both, one or the other. Enjoy the hits as this will probably open another can of worms keeping this at the top of the page.
Lastly. You commented that "it's underground and outta sight" But...but you just showed me it... in that um, video.
No longer outta sight.

Very true. And, I decide to revert, I already saved over the version with the duped Glowstone.
Right now I'm in my mine getting more supplies for the next video, going to be doing some stuff within castle walls this time, so you guys can finally see some progress on the castle itself. I know it'll be several episodes before the castle floor is covered with buildings and such, so this is just the start. Keep that in mind when you're watching the series!
Exactly my point I don't see the logic in it at all, maybe if you had nearly wiped out most of the glow stone from the nether it would make sense but if you're already duping then why even make the farm. Maybe I'm just picky
My thought process was, dupe Glowstone since the Slime farm is basically pointless(consediring TM360P is about making a realistic kingdom); pistons will rarely, if ever, be used. At anyrate, it was still cool to build.
all L3gitz

It'd be more impressive, just saying. And youre wrong. theres alot out there who really play for the survival aspect of minecraft
Me, and I disliked your video because of it =)
