The recent update stated there were going to be more cactii and clay inputed into worlds. For me, there has been none. I have looked all over my world and found none. At least some would be nice of you.
If you had explored your entire world before the update, you will have to start a new world. Once a chunk has been generated there is no way to change it.

I thought I'd explored my entire world, so I assumed I would be without clay, but in getting to my new build, I spotted some. Thought it was stone, but upon closer inspection, I found me some clay. I'm inclined to say, "Don't give up," but I don't know how the clay generation works.
Still no Clay
