When harvesting cacti by hand, be sure to knock out very the bottom section of the cactus first. All three pieces of cactus will then drop without any being destroyed (unless, of course, you have another cactus near it that they drop on instead). Then, you can replace the bottom section of cactus if you still want to grow cacti on that particular block of sand and it will grow.
Sounds like you've hit the wolf before, he will remember you and taunt you forever
lol, no, at that point he just tamed it and it teleported back to him. Somehow or another it must have crossed paths with me while mining. Not sure, but all I know to the best of my knowledge, I didn't hit it.
I have also noticed a friends tamed dog will be sitting and when ever i go near it it would attack me even while sitting, my friend never hit me nor have I ever hit him. Does it every time. But only in 1 of his worlds. Not sure why.
Did you kill another wolf while it was nearby? If you kill any wolf while a tamed wolf is within watching distance, the wolf will begin attacking you. He could also have, theoretically, tamed a wild wolf that had already become hostile to you while wild and had not at that point despawned. Taming it would have then prevented it from despawning.
Also, re the statement "But only in 1 of his worlds"... his wolves are specific to one world only. If he has tamed wolves in other worlds, they are different wolves than the ones in that one world where you are being attacked.
not a glitch leaves must be within 4 blocks of log to stay
Although this behavior should get changed in 1.8.2, allowing player-placed leaf blocks to remain indefinitely, as it was changed in the java version at that point also.

“We do not quit playing because we grow old; we grow old because we quit playing.”- Oliver Wendell Holmes
Well, considering that the things I named are in the PC version (maybe besides it raining less) and not in the Xbox version, I'd consider them bugs.
For one, this isnt the PC version and two, we arent even in the same version as PC.
Animals dont always look at you, it hardly rains at all in my worlds. Its a random effect.

I know we're not in the same version as PC, and from the looks of it we probably never will be. Animals would look at you in the PC version beta 1.7.3 because that was the last version I ever played on PC. And don't give me that "This isn't the PC version" crap because last I heard, it's the same game made to run on an Xbox with of coures a few restrictions. And I'm sure updating the animals' AI so they can look at the player doesn't qualify as a restriction on the Xbox, same for the sound of explosions being heard from farther distances.
When you put 2 wooden doors and any type of pressure plates to activate them the left door will automatically open without anybody or anything on it, thus the left door is forcibly opened, making impossible to close it, while the right door functions normally
its a extremely annoying bug.
this happened in the computer version too, i think its fixed now on the computer version but not on the xbox yet, but its better to just use the other door and only one pressure plate until its fixed, using the other purely for appearance.

We avoid risks in life in order to make it safely to our deaths.
On another website I frequent, it appears as though they may have found a way to fix the glitch where your spawn point and inventory doesn't save.I will note that I personally have not done this "fix" as it requires you to "soft mod" your XBox. The people who have done it have claimed to have had great success.
They deduced that the reason that the spawn and items were not saving was that because the file or folder containing the information was getting to large for the game to read properly or getting so big it corrupted. So everytime you started the map it would revert to default. They figured it was cause by too many players joining a world and saving their data and/or all the players having too many items (through the duplication glitch) So using a file exploring tool they found the file/folder containing the data and cleared it. They then reported that they could once again set a spawn point and retain their inventory.
I'm not suggesting anyone do this as it is against the TOS (I haven't done it for that reason) but I'm simply posting it here in hopes that someone from 4j sees it and explores this theory a little more. Maybe add a function to manually clear it once and a while. Like I said before I have not done this myself so I have no personal experience and I may not be a coder but this seems like a valid cause and solution.
I haven't been using much redstone circuitry in my world at all yet; but today when attempting to add a rail line uphill with several power rails, my XBox suddenly completely froze. It has never done that before. My only option was to turn the XBox off and then try to re-enter the game. I breathed a sigh of relief when my world did reload, but am concerned that it was the addition of this rather small amount of redstone circuitry that caused the freeze up.
The inventory wiping issue we have been looking into a fair bit recently and should be fixed (We managed to reproduce it). More testing to be done on that one.
The redstone issues we have also been looking into and are testing for the next update.

Thanks for the update and quick reply on these bugs. The first time it happened to my friends and I were horrified, we knew of the glitch but didn't think it would happen to us. We spent a month building our map, and had an escape proof spawn trap in place. The amount of swearing we did when we all spawned in there was funny. Luckily my girlfriend was not affected by the glitch at that time so she built us a way out. We installed a secret exit after that aha.
I assume you had quite a large number of ppl in and out the world?

Well over 100 visiting the world, we only had 8 main people though. Also if it helps we duped blocks like they were going out of style. We Have a storage room built into a hollowed out mountain. Every obtainable item had it's own double chest and they were all filled. Plus the blocks that went into building our map.
We also had a non-duping map with high traffic get glitches as well.
I don't know if noone has noticed this or not but when you have a bunch of pressure plates together, even happened once or twice when it was alone, one gets stuck and you have to reset it.
This has been happening since the initial release but to my knowledge never been mentioned.
I like to build traps and use pressure plates and redstone and gates and all. Just thought I would let you know to maybe add it to the list.

It was like that in the PC version. They changed it later on to match the speeds of the other ores.
Increase the distance explosions can be heard by players.
Make it rain less than every other day.
