I apologize if this is a redundant mention of this glitch, but I looked over the first 9 pages of this thread and couldn't find it. I have an issue with invisible trees in my underground tree farm. I will be trying to move in a direction to get to more trees and will be prevented by an invisible barrier. The screen vibrates when moving against these invisible blocks, and the blocks are not mineable. Also, the unusual darkening of blocks in the immediate area occurs. The only way I have been able to rectify this is removing and replacing torches, after which the tree appears with its leaves and is mineable. The farm is 7 blocks high and oak trees are grown adjacent to each other.
A map that has had 50 plus players on it now all players inventories are empty and respawn with a map at original spawn if host restarts. If host does not restart game player inventories are intact. No matter what type of saving auto or manual it seems all player data and inventory is no longer being saved. Bug started after 40ith player was added. A friend has the same bug in similar situation.

There is a duplication glitch where somebody can place a furnace or dispenser, then nearly break it with a pickaxe, then finish breaking it with another tool, causing the furnace or dispenser to quickly reappear for about 10 seconds or so. During this time, somebody can hold A in the ingredient slot of the furnace with the item they want duplicated being continuosly placed in and out of the furnace/dispenser. After 10 seconds the furnace disappears, and the item is either lost, duplicated, or given back normally.
Now I have noticed one minor bug in this game. Im not sure if it is even a bug or if it is found in PC. But if you look at a nether portal (purple stuff) while in water (under water) the portal purple stuff will apear invisible. Now I dont see any problem with this but it is wierd. And also if you are underwater and you start to drown, it will be impossible to survive depending on the water.
Tested out some bugs with half slabs. If you save and quit when standing on a half slab, when you load the world up you will start inside the half slab. So if there is a block underneath the half slab, you will be standing on the block with your feet in the half slab. If there is a 1 block air gap below, you will be inside the half slab, but will not take suffocation damage. If there is a 2 block air gap or more, you will fall through the half slab and land on whatever block is below. It hasn't effected me bad yet, but if someone were to make a half slab bridge, if they saved on it then they would fall right through when they started their game again.
This doesn't happen (or at least didn't for me) when you are on double slabs. Just single half slabs.

I'll have to test this on a retail kit as I couldn't reproduce it on our devkits.

I found what feels like a pretty game breaking glitch, you place a bunch of fences, usually 6x6 or 7x7 and stack them and fill in you're square, after you place down enough of them you get something along the lines of this blocks become see through. Easy to reproduce and I first thought it had something to do with fences and water but it seems to happen anywhere.

Lots of ways to do something similar and its also in the pc version.
We will look at fixing some of these issues after the updates.

The "invisible barrier" issue mentioned in posts #204 and #275 (both in relation to underground trees) is also now occurring in my world; but not in relation to trees at all. I mined a few blocks of gravel in an underground cavern and one of them reappeared (issue No A-05 on list). I mined it again a few times and it kept reappearing, so I left the area for a minute and it did seem to have disappeared when I came back. However, I could not walk through the opening created by the mined blocks (i.e. there was an invisible barrier and any attempt to walk through the opening resulted in the screen flickering. This was the same "screen judder" as when I was "stuck" trying to drop down through a hole into a cavern (see my previous post #250). Early on in this world, I did encounter a tree where mined leaves kept reappearing (and this went on for about 10 minutes (see my first post #74).
As mentioned, this particular issue, along with the issue of not being able to pick up mined items (item A-08 on list) seem to be occurring with ever increasing (and increasingly annoying) frequency as I play and add structures to my world.
I am relatively new to Minecraft and still playing the game at a fairly novice level. My structures, etc. are certainly no where near as large or complex as those seen in other worlds online. I have not done any mods or exploited any glitches. I am playing mostly in Peaceful mode, changing over to Easy mode only on occasion when I feel up to trying to learn to fight monsters. Even at this basic level, I feel it is only a matter of time before the instabilities now apparent in the file cause this world to crash completely. I hope this information helps you find a permanent fix soon.
ETA: After saving and exiting the game and taking a break of a few hours, I went back to the same cavern again. The wall I had been mining at when the glitch occurred was as as if I hadn't mined there at all; that is, all the gravel blocks I had mined had returned to their original places (so those changes were not saved even though the other aspects of the game I had changed that sessen were saved. This time, I was able to both mine the gravel blocks and continue on with mining further into that cavern wall with no evidence of the glitch recurring.
1) When removing an item that gives off light, (torch, glow stone, etc.) the lighting effect will still be there. So if I placed a torch then remove it later, the light giving off will still be there as if the torch was still there.
2) Glass properties are different. There shouldn't be a "shadow" effect when there is a block placed near the glass.
3) Light given off from a light block will show through stairs, if the light source is placed under it. (don't mind this one, it sometimes looks cool)
I think I've read all the posts up to this point and haven't seen these mentioned here, but if I've overlooked it, I apologize in advance.
When your world is saved, (either manually or via auto-save) and then you load that save, the state of any redstone clock circuits you may have had is "frozen" as it was when the save occurred, and you must reset the clock (by breaking some of the redstone and then re-placing it) to get it to run again.
I have also had a lot of trouble with my redstone clock circuits "freezing up," where all the repeaters and wiring would be powered at once, again forcing me to reset it to get it running again.
I don't know if either of these issues are lag based, but I do know that both issues occur whether I am playing alone or with someone else, and when playing with someone else, the issues occur whether we are playing split-screen or Xbox Live.
Keep up the good work! Really looking forward to the updates!
I have this bug where i take a torch off a wall, and it leaves a slight glow around where the torch used to be...
this was very annoying when i was trying to make a mob spawner and once i was done, i took the torches and it was still pretty lit up so no monsters could spawn......
My wife and I just discovered a strange lighting issue that I'm thinking must be a bug. We were both in the nether, and I had to go back to the overworld for something. When I went through the portal, the lighting on her half of the screen got MUCH darker hen I returned to the nether, her side of the screen returned to its usual brightness. The weird thing was, when I stayed in the nether and she returned to the overworld, the brightness on my side of the screen did not darken (I was game host). This was 100% repeatable, and happened on both horizontal and vertical split-screen.

I can not get the "When pigs fly" achievement. In a world, I have my saddled pig fenced up in a small area with a four block deep hole. I've ridden it into the hole multiple times in many different ways, but still no "Achievement unlocked!". I hope 4J or Microsoft fixes this. So annoying.
Found one since the update I keep backups of my game on two MS 512MB cards and MS 1 8GB STICK
I could not figure out what was causing this, till now.
Game works fine till I go to the neither world then I can not play the game again game save corrupt will not load.
I thought at first it was that I made a map on the other side.
so this time I just went to the other side and set a work bench and came back and saved.
exit reload
nada.
My game is now 37MB in size and my map is large I have been working on this since it came out for the Xbox360.
Here are some other markers.
for some reason now I have two doors on the other side as well two when there was always only one..
I made the map on the other side it shows I have been no where in the neither world.
it did not do this before the patch, I had not been there since the patch I just learned about the neither maps so I wanted to make one and try it out.
it appears I will not be doing this any time soon.
it appears as well if you sit idle in the game to long as well this can cause corruption as well I am trying to figure this one out as well.
Update 08/06/2012
I deleted the system cache in an attempt to fix the issue and re-entered the game save loaded still can not enter the neither world save and re-enter this corrupts the save.
Update 08/07/2012
next attempt to fix issue will be tried will let you know how this goes.
I am going to attempt to have someone go in and delete both doors and I will delete the out side door and save and see if this fixes the issue.
"First attempt broke one block on each gate and then saved reloaded and game locked". some one told me we need to remove all obsidian blocks from both sides and in real world. will Attempt again removing all blocks this time.
save and reload and see if I can play the game.
If this works then I will move to step two
Then I will create the door some were else and re-enter save and reload and attempt to play.
Second and last attempt
OK so nothing worked here to resolve the issue on any of the ideas handed to me
Another person told me to delete the gate and move it across the map and try so I did I came out some were else totally different saved and reloaded same issue
Deleted Minecraft as well and re-downloading did not work either.
This appears to be a big problem still going on.
after using Google and Yahoo MSN and Bing this is appears to still be going on what happen to the 99% bug free you boosted about.
I have all this time in to this map and I am real pissed off now.
I found several things like don't get attached to your saves in minecraft corruption is the norm. This is BS.
I am glad I got my glow stone and neither rock early in the game, I am going to find some one to dupe it for me by the boat loads of it since I can not use the neither world. I have lost my castle, and my prison down there as well. I even had trees growing down there as well!!

This still happens in the PC version. It also works with half slabs. I can't remember if the light given off actually lights other areas(so mobs don't spawn) or is just a visual thing.
