The next big update they will be releasing will be 1.8.2, and enchanting tables won't be in that update. After that, the next large update ill be 1.2.3 or somewhere along those lines. Then, you will have your enchanting tables, but it won't be out for a few months.
It will probably be more than a few months. I anticipate that the 1.8.2 update will be at least a few months while the 1.2.3 update will be at least a few months after that. Not to be negative, but I wouldn't get your hopes up to get 1.2.3 anytime before the holiday season.

Well, I guess the latest in my opinion would be around November/December. That's my estimate anyway
I imagine December as well. It would be great to see it before then, but I don't want to get my hopes up. Honestly, if they need the extra time to work out any bugs, I support that. I would rather wait and get a bug-free (if such a thing even exists) update than get a super quick update riddled with bugs.

I agree, but then again, I would prefer a super fast update with no bugs, to an update with which they took their time in making to get rid of the bugs.
It will be added eventually in update 1.0 but thats not going to be for awhile

Touché.
I'm not sure if the "sound update" is in the next update though.
