You sure they are actual slime chunks? Like you've seen the slimes? And to my understanding they only spawn levels 16 and below... Could be wrong though.

Why not just go cave spelunking and wait and see if you find some. That's how I find mind a lot of the time. Just exploring caves until I hear that plopping noise.

We cant use that monster radar thing on the xbox! I understand that its possible to do this process of changing difficulties, but it would take an incredible amount of time
I found a monster spawner near my slime chunk that appeared to be constantly maxing out the mob spawns in my slime chunk. Once I took care of it the slimes spawned quite nicely. Thought that might help.

I am not sure if 4J moved this ahead in the Xbox version updates, but I am 99.99% sure it would have been mentioned in the release notes.

I did everything right.
Slime chunks, litup, etc.
wait 25 away, light up nearby caves.
...............
Well do something else then. If you have build slime farm in slime chunk then go collect diamonds or something. They will spawn just wait.

I thought it was after beta 1.9 that they were now able to spawn up until level 40.
Not on xbox, we still have to go down to levels 1-16 to find them. Bellow 40 comes later in the update.
