I have both versions. I'm encountering some difficulties with animals (pigs, sheep, cows, chickens) with their spawns.

Some background info on my world.

-This is my first world. I have had it and have been playing it since the xbox version came out. (1st day world)

-My world has had a lot of development on it, but not to the point where there isn't anywhere for animals to spawn.

-My world has a random seed.

-This has been happening since the 1.7.3 update

-Sometimes find animals when I am playing alone and even more if I jump into another world (that doesn't have the problem.) and then jump back into my world.

Side note: Don't bother telling me to just make a new world, there have been too many people who have put too many hours into the world for them to restart.

Please help!

Do you have any tamed dogs?

I'm using my original world from release, have 6 tamed dogs, and have no problems spawning animals.

I've not seen a cow, pig, or ducken on my map in ages.

I have 20 wolves penned up in a fence.

This may be a long shot, but have you cleared your system cache, and re-downloaded the update?
I had a redstone glitch and this fixed it for me.
