i just want custom skin thing so i dont need to waste money...
Don't expect it. Copyright issues with custom skins. Someone makes a Kratos skin on Xbox? Sony pisses themselves with excitement because now they can sue Xbox for copyright infringement.

I dont see how copyright is now such a big issue. games like saints row, ufc or just about any fighting game let you create custom characters.

Maybe there could be skins based off our Xbox avatar?

Those games are multi-platform so it's not too big of a deal. Plus, you can't "name" those characters officially. Also, yes. Companies can sue just because something resembles the likeness of something they have copyrighted. Even little 8-bit blocks. It's stupid, but it's how a lot of companies make their money; suing people for dumb ****.
I dont get this copyright bull.surely you cant claim copyright over different coloured blocks assembled together that happen to look like or represent a character.A skin creator is just giving the user the tools to do with as they wish. Are microsoft liable to be sued by nintendo because i have a huge mario looking character in my world,i dont think so,there is no difference to me between creating a massive kratos in my minecraft world or changing the colour combination of my steve to resemble kratos.Whatever way you look at it if thats how copyright works than microsoft have already given us the tools to infringe copyright by giving us minecraft. If i cannot be sued for making a mario in my world then why would microsoft be liable if they made a skin creator?Microsoft themselves will not be going against the copyright but will instead give us the means to do so.Like third party sites that provide you with links to movies and things, that site is not liable for any copyright infringment as they mearly provide the ability to do so and do not promote any illegal activity. If you create your own skin you havent really copied anything as its you own creation made by you from scratch it may be inspired by a character but its not a direct copy.Microsoft just want thier money, they will release skins packs for days without any decent characters as they may be breaking copyright by making money from a skin that resembles a character but giving users the tools to do so doesnt make microsoft liable.Black ops emblem maker!!! The amount of charcters and logos that are copyrighted that people had as emblems was ridiculous.Anyone get sued??
I have to agree with Olford. If copyright infringement was such a problem, games like Forza wouldnt allow you to put custom paintjobs on your cars. Just google "forza paintjobs" if you need an example.
Customs would be cool but like you guys said there would be major lawsuits and thats just a mess that the creators dont want to tread over. I would like some movie themed skins, "Jaws" anyone???
I believe skin pack 2 has been finished it just hasn't been released yet, theres also the free skin pack for the summer of arcade celebration event [free for anyone interested when it comes out].

Or at least a skin named Diamond Hoe.
