I have kept the same server since day one for Minecraft Xbox 360 Edition. Because of this early started world, wasn't able to obtain any clay in my world. Once 1.8 comes into play, will they add on to the world where it will have more biomes like the snowy, rainforest, and mushrooms (as well adding clay into my game) or will I be stuck with the desert and grassy biome without any clay until I create a new world?
Well if its anything like the pc version when the map format changed to anvil Minecraft had an inbuilt conversion routine to convert the map automatically when loaded. I'm hoping the same is true because if it isn't I'll have to start to do my flat land project for a third time.
I sure hope it works, I finally have enough supplies of diamond, gold, and other tools. But Brick would sure be nice.

Anvil did not happen until 1.2 of the full release, not 1.8.
Your world will not be added onto if it has been completely explored. The only way to receive the new terrain coming in 1.8 is to make a new world, or have some large explored areas of an old world. If you don't have unexplored areas, you'll need to start a new world.

Well that sure does suck, looks like I need to make a new world.
I had my world before 1.6 and I found clay right off the bat. then 1.6 came and I found more clay in a area I am pretty sure I didnt explore. Not sure if it was because of the 1.6 patch but if your really that hard up for more clay or brick duping isnt completely frowned apon on the basis starting from scratch if the alternative is to completely start again. I would be willing to help if the dispenser trick still works. or if you can get some sticky pistons maybe a black generator can be crafted by having 2 sticky pistons trying to grab the same block at the same time.
I know duping is bad but I would surely rather do that versus recreating my world.
