Before the 1.7.3 update my slime farm was working perfectly. I was getting a decent amount of slimes upon each visit. But now, I can't seem to get them to spawn. I do have more than one slime farm, could that be the problem? I've done everything just the way it should be done. They're perfectly lit, they're in confirmed slime chunks, and they're definitely big enough (width, length *and* height). Am I alone on this one?
Could it be the obsidian or glowstone in the floor of one of my farms (my other one has glowstone in the ceiling)? Or the fact that I have more than one?
Pictures would help. Something in this update seems to have changed MOB spawn behaviour, as this isn't the only thing I've heard/noticed about spawning. Bad thing is your problem is the opposite of mine, lol.

I know that somewhere near this update for the PC, glowstone block properties were changed from solid blocks to transparent blocks. Mobs cannot spawn on transparent blocks, so that may be your problem.
I have actually noticed much the same thing. Coincidentally (or not), I have also noticed that my mob grinder is running at 2-3 times the efficiency as before the patch. It could be that more hostile mobs are spawning and decreasing the number of slimes spawning. Just a guess, though.

My slime farm is doing less good as well. I still get a good amount of them luckily but not as often as before. In the first pic you can't have all that glowstone on the floor. Slimes can't spawn on it.
I am also having the same problem. Here is my slime farm. It gets almost no slimes and its in 3 slime chunks on 12 blocks above bedrock. Idk what is wrong... All but one of them four squares are slime chunks. so wtfh is wrong. i get no slimes!
