So... I've been playing Minecraft for some time now, since Beta on PC, actually, but to this day I still have no idea where to even begin with making a mob grinder. I've seen some tutorials and schematics, but they all seem really complicated and confusing to me. Can someone dumb it all down for me? lol

My sincere condolences to you and yours. I'd very much appreciate that. If you or anyone else, for that matter, would care to help me with mine, I would be forever in your debt. lol It just doesn't seem like a one-man job to me.
Sure, once I am back on my box I wouldn't mind showing/helping build yours. My "spawning rooms" is only 2 levels high and I get a decent yield out of it. I had to add cactus to my collection area to kill spiders who would just chill near the glass for my maintenance tube.

They are all 1 man jobs you just have to have the patience and dedication to create them . Personally I have a above ground mob spawner and one in ground one both connect into a double sizzler ( single sizzler from ethos lab) but the single sizzler spiders still get through but a double sizzler guarantees only the loot gets through. Trying to get some slime balls so i can make a EMP. cant find slimes in my chunks for my seed.
