Okay I need some more slimes for stuff to build. I built a slime farm right in the middle of 4 chunks. 3 of which are slime chunks. my room is 39x39 and 5 blocks high and the Y reads 12. I have 3 block deep ditches in between all the "spawning pads". I have glowstone lighting up everythings so no mobs spawn there. Did I do it right? There are absolutely no slimes spawning after i leave and start the game over and over or sit and wait for hours. Need help please! Here ares some pics to help. As you can see in pic two the exact middle of my farm is where line 224 and 192 meet up which is in the middle of those four chunks in which three are slime chunks.
Type in the same info into the slime finder I had and the same info in the one you provided I get the same results. i have gotten a few slimes here and there but not a bot load that Ive seen people get. Like 50 mediums and hundreds of smalls or something along those lines.
Yeah I know its the same info, just the one i prefered =P
Have you lit up surrounding caves to increase the slime spawns (every other mob that spawns in one less spot for a slime to spawn

Lol but seriously, when you wait away from the slime farm, how far exactly are you? If you are 32 blocks away, they will automatically spawn and despawn. So all the hours you spent waiting meant that the slimes could've spawned, despawned, and spawned back and forth.
Im not sure slimes despawn though AR3 (pretty sure they dont not in this version on xbox anyway) and rofl @ cyclist steve
haha my friend was amazed at the big slimes. I tested this many times, they despawn if the player is away for too long just like any other mob. They don't despawn if you change the game difficulty unlike any other mob.

It is easy. You just have to have the right elements and everything put together.
I had alot of problems getting mine to spawn as well. I cleared out the 32 area and 15 high room and made 3 layers of pads, 2 being 3 blocks high, and the last being 2 blocks (I'll fix that later). Then i have four cactus positioned so that large slimes cannot get into the center, where I stand and whack the tiny slimes to death as the big ones (And medium ones) continually break themselves apart! I also have water canals on the base layer, but to be honest, they aren't necessary when you stand in the middle... Theres also a piston door that leads from my ladder to the surface, under one of my spawn pads, and allows you to enter the 2x2 area right in between the cacti.
Now, besides all that, I have a room at layer 42. In hindsight, I should probably change this, as its most likely making my Slimes despawn, which is probably why I've had so much trouble... Since my grinder goes from 4-15 I should have a little waiting area at layer 36. By the way, What AR3 suggested must have happened to me as I came back after going to the store for 45 minutes and didn't find a single slime.
There were times when I found a massive amount of Slimes, as in 3 large (Maybe 2 medium), and that trip gave me around 50 Slime Balls.
Anyway, I can post a picture when I get the chance.
