This is the main thing I was afraid of. Not the fact that they are releasing DLC, but the fact that aside from GoW, Halo, and kinda B-K, most of these skins are from old, obscure games that nobody's heard of ('Splosion Man? Really?). I'll buy it because a few skins actually sound good, but I am deeply saddened by the fact that most of the skins in this pack are pretty obsoletely horrendous.

I've heard there's actually going to be a 'free' skin pack you can get by visiting the summer of arcade page on your Xbox when it becomes available this week. Not sure of the details. I believe the skins are supposed to be for characters from each of the summer of arcade titles.
remember the skin pack is optinal no one is forcing you to get it. I personally think the skins are awesome and the characters they have used are from timeless games i.e. banjo-kazooie, halo. If you don't like it don't buy it

Anyway, they don't force you to buy the skin pack (not that it's very expensive, only being 160 points, or 2$). If you don't like any of the 45 skins in the pack, wait for the inevitable skin editor. You can just use the 13 (8 default + 5 summer of arcade) free skins in the meantime.
