So, ever since the new update I have not been able to play. I installed the patch with ease, but whenever the game loads it freezes or I get a white screen before the main menu. I had NO problems before this crappy patch.

Things i have tried to fix this issue(all failed)

• Reinstalld
• Reinstalled and cleared cache(Cleared the cache several times)
• Made sure there was adequate room on my hard drive(30g remaining)
• Tried and tried again and again to get to the minecraft main menu.
• Waited overnight.
• Tried to research and see if anyone had a similar problem...no one does apparently.

I have tested the game without the patch installed and it works great, but minecraft isn't really fun by yourself =/. Any help is appreciated, but don't even respond with "clear your cache" or "reinstall".

I have the patch, and it works awesome so unless your Xbox is like, broken or your internet is down and the patch is corrupt for you, I have NO idea.

Thanks for the answers, and it does seem like for some reason it just isn't compatible with my xbox.


Btw: i have an old "Pro" edition of the xbox. It's the one with the silver colored disc tray.

Thats your issue right there, I had a few of those, all junk and RRoD.

Well recently i have gotten a few E71 errors when i start up the xbox, but i just restart and everything works fine. So it could be my old and crusty xbox. I have cleaned it many times and have a new hard drive.

I have the oldest edition of the Xbox and I've never had the RRoF...ever.

i haven't had any problems with my old xbox pro so it might be your save file(s)

Well, Guess your just lucky.

It's probably your xbox. My old xbox (one of the big white ones) before my Slim had similar problems. I found out that it was overheating when I would try to play a game even though other things like Netflix worked fine. Have you tried removing the update and playing the game without installing it? You'll be signed out of Live without the update, but maybe it'll work. Then you'll know if it's the update or your xbox.
