i've tried to make the smoothstone gen i knew how to make on pc and it won't make smooth stone. i also tried to find other ways of making one and tried those. they didn't work or at least the ones that didn't take forever and a day to make. i really haven't found any that said mcxbla so i was just wondering, is it impossible to make one?
(I'm not talking about a cobblestone one. i mean smoothstone. i have a pretty good non-auto cobb gen right now. smoothstone is faster to mine.)
Not sure. I've never tried it on the Xbox 360 Edition. Maybe the game being changed over to C#/C++ has something to do with why it's not working. Maybe 4J couldn't replicate it when they recoded it.
If you mean it doesn't work because it only makes cobblestone, I think that's because smoothstone being made from water and lava may have only been added in a newer update. I'm not actually sure which update brought it, so don't quote me on it.

There are tutorials from 1.7 (PC) on YouTube showing it so it should be in the game already.

i think you might be right. might have something to do with the way it's coded. eh well. from what i understand smoothstone gens were a happy accident on pc. a glitch that was never fixed and pretty much became a secret feature. i remember seeing a tweet from jeb or notch on it saying they don't remember putting it in but it is a neat trick. don't quote me on that because i'm not going thru months of tweets to just find that one.
