So listen up, I did everything in every slime thread. I went to that website, entered my cords, went to bedrock, dug the tunnel and carved it out, even carved one above it. Went to easy mode, went 24 blocks away, made some pizza rolls, came back and derped on youtube. I went back to check for slimes, and still nothing. What the heck, minecraft?
I did the same thing and it took about 3 minecraft days or so and then I would get like one or two slides then after a little while they started spawning like crazy
Well, I was digging the second floor of my slime spawn room when I heard the splash sound they make. Went downstairs and there were two slimes just chillin' in there.
I guess it's just a matter of luck.
OP, I have the same problem. I spent a crazy amount of hours today trying to find me a single slime. Used Minecraft Slime Finder and cleared out enough space in those slime chunks, then waited, and waited. Made sure went past 24 blocks for them to spawn, and waited. Nothing spawned. I'm about to pull my hair out, wtf is going on?
My first slime all I got from hearing a creeper blow up while heading down to see my farm. (a long time ago) I got there, big hole in the middle of the farm with 3slimeballs in it. I duplicated them. Fixed the hole, now slimes are there all the time.

they spawn at certain points in the map they just dont spawn anywhere

Dude Pietard goes back in the day. In high school our teacher over heard me calling someone a retard, and she was like "don't be calling that boy a pietard". I was like wtf, no way she said that, and then my friends and I were LOLz for like ten minutes.
Make sure your slime farms are 100% bright, so no mobs spawn and so the slimes spawn
