I was talking to my friends today and they were saying how they were going to duplicate diamonds and I told them that the update removed it so now they have to find it themselves. But they told me that it was still there. So I decide to post this question is it still there?

There is still a duplication glitch with the dispenser its just a bit more complicated. I hope they patch it. The game is alot better when you play legit.
Sometimes I dupe, but its usually diamonds for tools or building material like brick and cobble. Not to mention pistons. It makes it like a pseudo-creative mode for the 360 before the next update. :3

There are still ways to dupe, as was mentioned earlier in this thread, one of the simplest being to remove the update and dupe, then add it again.
Why would you do that? The dispenser glitch still works just like it did before the patch. There is absolutely no need to take the patch off and dupe. If anything, that'll be the thing to corrupt your file.

Just curious, why dupe Cobble when you can make a Cobble Generator that provides infinite amounts of Cobblestone?

I've never duped cobble before, but I've duped dirt. Reason being, once you have a duped block, there is a way that you can put it in your inventory so it'll give you 250 blocks, once the 250 run to 0, it goes back up to 250, effectively giving you an infinite block supply.
I was trying to majorly change the landscape in one of my worlds, so this worked out great because I never had to run back to a chest and get more dirt.
I could also see it being useful when building a very large structure, for the same time saving reason.
That's gone too. At least one of the methods is.
You can still duplicate with furnaces, just not the same way you used to be able to.

It's whatevs. Just tell them not to dupe in your world and if they want to dupe in their own worlds, oh well

Yea, but the dupe glitch counters the cake-bucket glitch.
Either that or I make some badass cakes.
