according to the change log, it isn't a perma ban, it is only untill you restart the level. So restarting the level will let your friend rejoin, including the previous griefer, until he has been banned from that particular session. This is to kick players from continuing to return over and over.

I like the fact that you can do this but it makes only half sense.
Think about it. You catch a griefer. They have destroyed some stuff. You kick and ban. Given the fact they may have destroyed a few hours work, you exit the game without saving.
And start a new session... They can now come back.
I like the fact that they are trying to make adjustments. but this kinda falls short. I haven't had a need to kick or ban but if I did, I'd want something permanent.
I've played the other block builders, and they too are just off the mark.
They allow bans to hold, but provide no list to "UN-ban someone"
No happy medium I guess. If there was a ban list you could check off, that would work.
