Is it possible to push the minecart while your in it? rather than pushing it and then getting in it?
I remember it was possible on the pc version by just punching the minecart while sitting in it.
ummmm... make a button and push that from a power track. That is of course, you're at the beginning or end of your track. If you're in the middle you have to push it and jump in.
Laughs, I have a powered rail and a button at the start of the track. BUT when a passive mob sits on the track and pushes you backwards its soooo not funny lol.
