Ahem. Cactus will break if anything is placed beside it. I have never tested it with sugarcane though.

I don't think they were found that way. They're put together to show that they all exist, in which case the sugar cane would not be fully grown yet, and since sugar cane can be walked through, it's probably possible to place cactus next to it, but I'll have to check.
No offense intended, but I have used about a dozen seeds that had all three. I have yet to find a world that was missing one completely. I have a world that may lack pine trees, i haven't looked extensively. How often are people landing in worlds lacking a resource?
