There's nothing new to discover. "leaving things for players to discover" was posted under the sub heading: "tutorial world changed & additions" meaning that the new things that are left to be discovered are on the tutorial world, not the actual game.
Don't worry. As usual, if there IS something to be discovered, it'll be plastered all over the place about 5 seconds after the update is released. Oh, how I miss the days before the internet, when life still held mysteries.

It's just a few "easter egg" type things in the TUTORIAL world only.
But I think it's cool they added a "self-building bridge" with pistons to the Tutorial. Everybody can go tear it apart to learn how it's done, that's awesome! Tutorial world is suddenly not as boring as it was and more informative. Well done.
