Hello all. Been reading the forums for a while and this is my first time posting. I've just found a small slime at bedrock level, but I was wondering how I would go about farming him. I wanted to do something along the lines of ! , but I would need to dig down to do the trenches (impossible with bedrock). How would I go about doing this? I was thinking of encasing a 16x16 area where I found the slime, and build a ladder up a couple levels and start the trenches there? Any advice would be welcome! Thanks everyone.
Don't know about you, but I'm not gonna watch a half hour video....Slimes will spawn at a max of 16 blocks above bedrock layer. So if you want to dig your trenches you can fill in the area. If i found a slime area, i would box it in, and just kill them with a sword.
slimes spawn anywhere from level 0-40, so it doesnt have to be at bedrock level. you could mine out the chunk you found the slime in. to find the chunk coordinates, divide the x and z numbers by 16, round down to the nearest number, and multiply by 16 to get the corner closest to spawn, or round up to get the corner furthest from spawn.
Layer 16 and below..
They only changed it to layer 40 and below in the recent MC on PC.
