Hey guys quick question, I'm having a little bit of trouble w/my coal minecarts. How exactly do they work because I keep putting coal in to them and they do not move at all, they just take my coal and sit there like a dead fish. What am I doing wrong? They are supposed to push my regular Minecart right? Do i need redstone to get it moving? Please help

you right or left click the cart with coal. u don't actually insert coal. or if that doesn't work aadd coal and then left or right click it with and without coal in hand

I tried that and nothing. When I put the coal in my hand and face the coal minecart it says LT-Use and so I do and it just takes my coal and does not move

you need to set up this.

R = normal rail
P = powered rail
T = Redstone torch

basically you have to set it on the normal rail and push it towards the powered rail. Sticking it on the powered rail and using a button won't work if you aren't in the cart for some reason.

Oh I got you. I got in my regular cart w/the cola cart right behind me and figured it would power up w/coal but i actually do have to push it? Thanks btw i appreciate it. This was really frustrating for me

No problem, 'empty' carts have weird rules.
