oh btw im creating this cus it wont die -.- i punchedi t like 500 times it wont evne go to a tiny pieces so if u can help me thx If im on the wrong section srryBtw who said slimes dont despawn? -.- who ever said it is a lier my baby slime just despawned!
My friend has had a similar issue with seemingly invincible slime. I have not come across this yet, however it seemed for him that if he just let that one despawn, then he didn't have the same issue with the next one that spawned.

Its a bug where they dont die. You sure it didnt glitch into a wall and die? (As most of them do in this version) Hence sometimes when you go down there you see slime balls laying around
No The tiny one just poofed i saw a white smoke nothing dropped the giant one i trapped it on a side of the wall while i try to punch it now i cant eve dmg it it almostk illed me i brought me down to half a heart
They are glitched and aren't actually there. They will de spawn if glitched. Real ones do not de spawn.

You aren't always garunteed a drop.. 0-2 slimeball drops from small slimes. And sounds to me like it glitched and died especially if you seen it poof with smoke. Mobs cant despawn in front of you. And yeah the invincible slime thing is a bug.

There is a glitch where you can't punch or use an sword on a huge slime however you can still hit them.
Using a bow still works on these slimes.
