Don't get me wrong I am glad its coming out. I just don't think its that big of an update. When they add sprint and the hunger bar ect. Which I think is 1.8 but don't qoute me haha. Let me know why you are excited for this update I am curious.
I feel the same way. There's definitely nothing wrong w/pistons but I also can't wait for the 1.8 update either. To me that update seems much more fun but we'll have to wait a little while before we get that. Glad to see I'm not the only one who feels that way
Pistons. It's something of a gradual evolution. Crafting wise, starting out, you build with stick, stone, iron, then eventually diamond.
Having pistons is like the beginnings of the industrial or mechanical era in MC.
Now you can auto harvest, generate cobble, auto mate door,bridges, traps. Put together self building walls. Clocks, displays, and an endless list for useful to useless.

I am DYING for this update. We need to be able to interact with our world with more than just swords and tools. And I need elevators for my world in the worst way since my rail network is elevated. The minecart elevators worked, and worked well, but they were still too clunky and not realistic for my liking.
Here's one contraption I will build right off the bat, a boat launcher and lander.
Yep, pistons! With the addition of them I will begin work on making my automated wheat farm that I had in my PC world. The redstone into repeater fix will be necessary for this, too.

i love pistons so many things you can do with them its almost endless.
First i did not give a turttles butt but now that i have msp to buy Skins ir eally want them to just put out the dlc for the skins so i can spend the msp allready cus i want to spenmd the left over of my msp for The imposible game which amkes me rage like hell btw (I bought the level pack allready)
All I want are the skins. I don't really care for pistons.

pistons duh with pistons there are endless possibilities (-_-) once i get my gold membership back im gonna make a trap for a friend hes gonna walk into the light house on the tutorial world and the door will close behind him and then lava will pour from the ceiling and he'll die and it will be funny as hell
"sans-serif">I only started playing Minecraft on the Xbox360, what I love about the game is mining all the stuff I need, smelting it and making something cool. Pistons will open a huge door for that part of MC, and to tell the truth, I could not care any less about sprinting and the hunger bar. If I wanted to play an AA or RPG I'd be playing Skyrim or some other REAL game like that. HELL the hunger bar and other updates like that might even make me quit MC if it is not a choice.

I would MUCH rather have pistons than sprinting or hunger. In fact, I'd prefer if they never added hunger tbh. But much bigger things than that are coming with 1.8, so I'm excited to see that update as well.
