Don't get me wrong I am glad its coming out. I just don't think its that big of an update. When they add sprint and the hunger bar ect. Which I think is 1.8 but don't qoute me haha. Let me know why you are excited for this update I am curious.

I am more excited for the updated lighting than anything.
While 1.8.2 is a notably larger update in terms of overall changes and substance than 1.7.3, pistons will open up a sizable number of new options for our existing worlds. I think it is the potential of what we will be able to build with the use of pistons that we are currently unable to do that is generating all of the excitement.

I'm honestly looking forward to shears more. Gonna collect lots of leaves and make mind-boggling massive trees.
But pistons will allow me to do creative things with ores that I wouldn't be able to do until creative mode otherwise, so I'm pretty excited about that as well.

Like before, when the public gets what they want, something else will be an issue for criticism. It's just a game..... I for one can wait for the update to be done right. Not rushed out just to please the end user. Good things come to thoes who wait

I make piston lights walls doors paths mazes turrets etc. They do not just everything but they do it best
