So I went back to my world this morning so I could resume building my massive castle, and when I came back I spawned at my original spawn and had absolutely no items! At first I thought... "Hey, maybe this is just a glitch," so I started the world again... and again... but my items are still gone.
I then picked up 1 sugar cane, saved the game, and then returned to it to find out if this glitch would happen again and... I spawned at the original spawn without the sugar cane.
I went to my other worlds and they aren't having this problem, so can somebody please help? I just want to get rid of this glitch so I can continue playing in my world without problems. I know I can't get the items that I lost from my inventory back, but I'd appreciate it if this could be fixed in some way. Thanks!
There is a sticky at the top of the page that has a list of bugs, this being one of them.
The safe thing to do is dump everything into chests before you quit. The world should save when you save and exit so you will just have to walk back to where you have the chest, grab your items and continue on until they fix it.Copied from the sticky....
Player Data not saving(SEVERE) [S-01]
Players have experienced issues with all items in their inventory not being saved after saving and leaving the world. Upon return, the world is saved as normal, but the items in inventory are gone. Players also noted that it will spawn them where they originally spawned at the start of the world, and not in the last bed they slept in. The only workaround I know of for now, would be to ALWAYS store your items in a chest before leaving the game if this is affecting you.
No I like the satisfaction of doing everything legitimately so it was all legit
ive never duped and its happened on only one of my severs the others are fine, i dont want to delete the world, so i chuck everything in a chest before i save a few people have lost diamons on my world because of it.
