mid-July: xbox edition goes 1.7.3
start of August: PC edition goes 1.3
end of August: xbox edition goes 1.8.2
end of September: PC edition goes 1.4
start of October: xbox edition goes 1.2.3
start of November: xbox edition goes 1.3
mid-November: PC edition goes 1.5
start of December: xbox edition goes 1.4
start of January: xbox edition goes 1.5

(these are only predictions based on the time it usually takes to an update come out lol)

But, anyway, this is my prediction.
When do you think that it will happen?

I hate to be a party pooper, but who even says we're going to get that far in updates?

Since the PC is always a moving target, the xbox will never "catch up".
Plus, who says it has to? It may go it's own way.
The question may be, when will the PC ever catch up to the xbox?

The next update (after 1.7.3) is 1.8.2 and then I think 4J said it would go to either 1.1 or 1.2

They've said it's 1.7.3 to 1.8.2 and then 1.2.3.

Those are the only updates being talked about right now.

I'm surprised you specifically would disregard the earlier announcements. You're usually pretty quick to quote a wiki or twitter....

4J said that Minecraft: 360 Ed. will reach current PC version (at the time it was 1.2.5) and beyond - the beyond part kind of hints we'll be going to at least 1.3.

After 1.2.3 I hope they go their own direction as far as user inspired mods and other DLC. Themes and more skins

I don't see them working on it at the same time the PC version is still being worked on.

But as they have said it would catch up and be on the same version, so its more likely to be "on par" much of the time

My gut is telling me we'll get to the PC version 1.2.3, probably right before the holidays (or at least by Christmas). After that, who knows? I'd love to see 4J take off in their own direction... maybe bring in some content from Mojang, but also do a lot of things just for 360. At some point, however, I'm sure the "free" updates are going to end, and it'll be paid DLC from then on. 1.2.3 is the last update they've mentioned, so I'll bet it's the last update they have to do (like, by contract), if you get me.

i think the wiiu is the only new system coming out this year as for the new xbox i think its between 2013(end or mid year)-2014. i think you will be able to play xbox360 games on the new xbox but till they say so its anyone's guess.
