What about a drive-able cart? Similar to the boat, but actually letting people stack blocks on it to create a tank or "golf cart" or van. Maybe make it Coal or Redstone powered to go faster. it can get kinda frustrating having to walk everywhere and too time consuming to create a huge network of carts on rails. It would be a cool feature
Some of these blocks are in the 1.8 update. The others you might see in the future but they wont make some special block pack for xbox and not pc.
They might, as has been mentioned several times already, 4J has already stated that they are already pondering Xbox exclusive content. We already have a few features that aren't in the PC version, xbox exclusive blocks are not out of the question.
I'm opening this letter to 4J to everyone, please participate in an open letter to 4J by sharing your ideas and repping up other good ideas that you see!
I tried to create a thread for update suggestions, but it's falling down the list with little response. Your thread is... fairing better...
Biome Seeds
When 1.8 is released, we will have access to new biomes (jungle, swamp, etc...), but barring any map expansion to accompany the update, many of us will be forced to abandon our current worlds we've dedicated hours/days/weeks? into just to experience the new content.
So my idea is to add a new item or items. Biome Seeds. Each player is granted a few biome seeds, similar to saplings. Maybe they automatically appear in your inventory upon logging in or maybe they come from whacking tall weeds at random or even a new recipe. But once acquired, all you need to do is traverse to an area of your map you'd like to reinvent and plant the seed. After a few day/night cycles, the area will be transformed (a certain block radius) into the biome you planted.
Example: I want a jungle so I can find cats. I whack down some weeds and acquire a "Jungle" seed. I have a perfect area on my map that is begging for a facelift. I plant the seed in the middle and leave for a few days and when I return... JUNGLE!
Issues: How to make this work? Maybe use the sapling/growth code combined with the grass spreading code. Jungle has to touch jungle, but limits how far out it can grow. Who knows if this would actually work...

Another idea (not mine, but have seen it suggested numerous times)...
Gateway
Built in a similar way to the Nether Portal, but maybe out of Gold Blocks or Iron or whatever. It can be placed anywhere and once activated, either links to a brand new world or another world in your saved list (not sure how feasible that would be). This would allow users to transport between two or more worlds, sharing resources, fixing the issue with world generation in newer updates and would allow for "infinite" exploration.
Issues with this would be load times or memory resources. I'm not a game coder...

What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
You DO realize that 4J can't just add things to the game because you ask. It HAS to have been already added to Minecraft for PC, and last i checked most of these requests can only be done with a Mod. Until MOJANG ...you know the actual Owners of Minecraft add these things they wont ever be in the Xbox version. So I'd advise you to ask for these in the PC section if you want Jeb or Someone to actualy take notice. Or send Jeb a DM on Twitter with the suggestions.
No. 4J studios can do what they want. It is Minecraft: Arcade Edition... not a direct port.
Notch said he wants this version to do it's own thing.

I'm hoping they add new modes and features that don't necessarily alter the core game play mechanics. Things like Capture the Flag, DM, Hungerthingie, spleef mode, etc.
All the more reason to show 4J how much wed like new blocks, guys. If the idea gets enough support and 4J takes notice, it could easily become a reality! No need to be so pessimistic, just let your ideas flow.

Oh! I know!
How about a block just named X? It could be solid black and occasionally a red ring would appear....
Survival island or Skyblock maps maybe as DLC? I'm dying to play those. Saw so many PC vids of them and it would be so cool if they made those maps into DLC for Xbox
You are right. This topic made me super facepalm. THE XBOX EDITION BUILDS UP TO THE PC EDITION, AND DOESN'T ADD NEW CONTENT. Don't know how many times I've had to say this.
That's because you're wrong, 4J has already stated that they're looking to add xbox exclusives in the future. We already have Xbox exclusive features now, they're going to expand it more as time goes on.
So I hope you didn't facepalm too hard, it'd be a shame to hurt yourself for no good reason.

what you saying is boss. i reallylike the biome seeds idea and it would not be as hard to code as one would think. as long as it doesn't change the terraform only the spawning, grass color, tree type ect.
i also posted something about a gateway to your other saved worlds so i obviously agree with that. it would be fairly hard to code though...

I am the Vonzilla, rogue enderman, destined to walk the Overworld forever...
But spread the Mojang and 4J so everyone gets it. And if Mojang adds it then 4J defenatly will later
Everytime I see you post Your Idea looks better and better. Colored Glass would be great = ).
