It's on the 'news' page.... now THIS looks like one of those things I'd actually like to see 4J put out for the 360 version. With the limited world size, it actually makes more sense on the XBox than the PC...
Religion, has actually convinced people, that there's an invisible man, living in the sky, who watches everything you do every minute of the day, and the invisible man has a special list. Of 10 things he doesn't want you to do. And if you do ANY of these ten things he has a special place, full of fire, and smoke, and burning, and torture, and will send you there to suffer and choke and scream for all of eternity... But he still loves you.
We should have pistons in a few days. I don't think they'd be *required* though, since the dropping walls seem to be a function of the game mode.
I'm under no illusion that this would be added overnight, btw. But, since 4J keeps dropping hints that they're looking at mods for inspiration for new content, this idea looked perfect.
When the patch comes through, if I'm not mistaken, we'll be able to duplicate our maps. So, if you wanted to set up a skyblock map... build and customize the look of it then use it for multiplayer, you could easily do that.
For The Walls..... Yea. Thats gonna be a tough one. Although, with enough time and effort you could mine all your desired materials, and mine out particular locations in each quadrant for them replacing the blocks to be mined by the players. For a created arena, you would need to create an obsidian floor throughout the whole map, stack the sand and use pistons to create the drop mechanism.
Skyblock would be by far the easiest to set up for a reusable map.... The Walls would take you and several friends quite alot of time to build before you can play. Maybe if they add the ability to share maps in a future update someone will have taken this challenge on for us Xboxers and we can just download it.
What does everyone think?
