Have been creeping around on the forum's a lot lately and finally decided to join the community!
Now before anything I need to say I didn't look for other post relating to Kinect, nor do I have any clue if they may have given up on this project (you can crush my dreams if they did haha). So I haven't seen any on the front pages what so ever. I remember them releasing information on Kinect and how it will come after the game has been released and may take time to incorporate.
To be honest it will take a while I presume to catch up to the PC version if possible, but I'd like to know how the Kinect will come in to play. I have played plenty of games with the "Better with Kinect" functionality. Actual movement games are difficult to play and makes the game a bit annoying if you use it. The voice recognition software on the Kinect is by far the best thing about it becuase its already there to use (Bethesda's Skyrim is a great example of this). I'd really like to see them incorporate this into the game possibly, what could you do with it? I have no clue but maybe they already have it planed.
What do you all think about Kinect? Yes or No? What do you think they will do with it?
P.s. Kinect may be a small community and I for one say serve the larger "whole" group (Such as the title updates to catch to the PC, always should come first), not pushing for Kinect here at all. I just really want to see what they come up with!
I don't really see what they could even do with the kinect for a minecraft game... there's literally nothing, besides using voice commands to drop stuff or jump and that's just useless.

True, but there could be some uses with thinking. Such as commands that quickly equips a item. Instead of scrolling with the RB or LB buttons you could say like "Equip 1" and the hotkey box area 1 would equip. I'm trying to think of idea's, it can be useful but I don't know the limits (ex sorting? or empty inventory to a crate?)
Glad to see someone else who loves the kinect but I don't see what they could do with minecraft. It's pointless. Maybe to make your pet wolf stay and follow? but that's really small, still wouldn't use it lol.

That can actually be a very good idea thinking of it, my mind is set on the Skyrim voice commands and reminds me of the ally system. But that's my problem, Minecraft is not Skyrim although some idea's can be pulled from how they use the voice commands and can be used in Minecraft so well I believe.
