Anyway, can anyone give me any ideas on what to put in this Valley once I've cleared it? In my last world I had my house situated in there, since it was the spawn area. But I want to do something different this time, but I'm not sure as to what.
This is what it will look like once I've cleared the area. (That little building wasn't my house. It was a storage house while I cleared the area)
Just don't scar it with the horrible EVERYTHING COBBLE CITYS everybody seems to be a fan off.
Bitches love wood.
**** wood, get sandstone and glass. Oh my god, that valley is begging to have some of those fancy Malibu houses where the wall is entirely glass and is in this overhang inbetween the mountains.
You can even make a ceiling of lava over the hills if you're up for a challenge.

Oh god no. Frankly, I think Cobble looks horrible. Although It does look ok with the right amount, & mix, of other blocks, such as wood. But I'm really batting for the park/garden idea.

I'm not sure if I'm following you on the Malibu houses idea. Any pictures?

But I do like a challenge.
This is your typical Malibu home. What I mean is that the house sticks hallways out a mountain side. So it looks resembles a spoon lodged horizontally in a huge sideways tub of ice-cream. If you place it high off the ground and "inserted" into the mountain, you'll have a house with a beautiful view of the whole valley while having your own mining system in the mountain (because your house is now half mountain half fresh air).
Hmm... a hanging town connected to those mountains by bridges? ...Oh, and you can use those mountains as guard stations and stairways to the bottom of the valley.

Sold! I like the idea.
I think I'm going to go with Smiffyy's idea & have the valley floor as one big park/garden type thing, & have a touch of Malibu houses built into a few mountain sides. Maybe a few walkways carved into the side of the mountains, & some bridges connecting the houses up. Love it!
Oh! I don't mean to idea-***** or anything, but this one just hit me.
You can actually make a "train depot" going through one of the mountains (or even wrapping around the mountain if you can deal with exploring that much iron and power rails). I know it's not necessarily a building unless you make the station, but it's just something to have onto the side. For some reason, I'm one of those players that love Minecarts. It's like those little kiddie roller coasters that you're obviously too old for, yet you go on it just to satisfy the inner child in you.

That can happen. In my last world I had enough Iron & gold ect to make enough rails & powered rails to have a track that went right around the edge of the map. As soon as I finished building it, my world stopped working. I'll just have to explore the same caves & mine in the same areas. That's ok though, as it will lead me to find the 5 or so spawner's I had found last time. Will take a long time though.

Thanks. lol
That's actually a pretty good idea! It would be one hell of a large park/garden though.
I like the way you think.
I first read that as birches love wood

I am inclined to concur.

Thanks guys. Keep the ideas coming.

NO! FIND YOUR OWN SEED! Only joking. lol
The seed is Elfen Lied
The valley in the picture is where the spawn is located.
