Hi Everyone, Im looking for some suggestions as to what sort of trap you would make for the following.
I have found 2 mob spawners near to each other
co-ord 1 x41 y 65 z-102 seems to spawn skeletons
co-ord 2 x47 y65 z-97 seems to spawn spiders
They are currently in a mountian that reaches to y73 and i have access to sea close by (x54 z-54 is my current exit)
I am working on the xbox so no piston action yet....might wait util after the update depending on suggestions.
Spiders will clog up your skeleton Spawner so I would make them completely seperate. Spiders simply need a 3x3x1 area to spawn and you just need to get them to walk into a 2x2 water canal to be pushed into the lava blade. NOTE: If the drop from the water to the Lava Blade is only a 1x2 space (I.E. [ ] [ ] ) then the spiders drops will most likely get lost in the lava since they cannot drop into the collection pit while burning, you can correct this with ladders. Btw, I recently figured that out on mine, so I haven't tried it yet.
The Skeletons are very easy, all you need is a 5x5 spawning pad over the spawner and just put water canals all around it to psuh them into a lava blade.

I built a mob grinder with one outlet (2x2) into a two-space-wide killing stream leading to a double wide lava blade. Never had an issue with the spiders clogging it up; spiders, skeletons, zombies & creepers all went nicely into the same blade.
You could combine these into one... just make everything big enough to handle spiders. I've got a similar situation on my current map with a spider / zombie spawner pair, just haven't gotten around to building it yet.

Keep the suggestions coming I decided to wait until the update and then think of introducing a sorting system to push 2 high mobs in one dirrection and the 2 wide mobs in the other.

Remember me finding the 2 spawners well guess what. I went searching the caves around them and Ive found more.

co-ord 3 x17 y62 z-94 seems to spawn zombies
co-ord 4 x24 y18 z-94 another zombie one
The last 2 were found as a result of lighting up the cave system and spotting the tell tale walls of the mob spawners. The map is supposed to have slime chunks at x0 to 16 and z-96 to z-128 y16 -0
if anyone would like the seed number to this world its 1950944476 but be warned i havent found any cactus on it but it was generated before the clay and latest patch
Question, is it normal for the mob spawners to be so close together?

PS there are diamonds and lava in the area but im not telling you where lol
