Right now I am working on a whole city underwater but I also want to build middle earth from Lotr and bikini bottom from spongebob anyone else got any ideas.
That sounds pretty ambitious right there. I hope you post photos of your progress because that would be awesome.

I'm not even motivated to finish my NPC village on the PC version. There's a whole side that zombies are just going to trample the crap out of as soon as the update hits in a couple of weeks.....

i'm not even motivated to build a modern house mote thing.
building without creative takes too long. i know some people are like "EW CREATIVE MER" but seriously, who has the time to scrap up all of the materials to build something huge and amazing...
I never "play" Creative. I just use it mostly to test redstone contraptions, play with BUDS, mess with spawn traps, etc. Plus, on the PC, you can just use a tool like MCEdit to copy your creations across maps. Or change SMP to Creative on-the-fly. Or move your creative maps to SMP.... etc.
Resources.... I usually end up with a ton of string from fighting/farming spiders which makes wool after... I forget which version. When abandoned mineshafts show up on Xbox, there's no reason to even bother with sheep since you'll end up with more string than you can imagine from the spider spawners. Obsidian is free, especially with enchanted pick axes that have high levels of efficiency. Glowstone is abundant. Wood is free. Enchanted pickaxes with Fortune give you a stupid amount of diamonds.....
I don't have any problems collecting resources on PC. Xbox is a different story, but I usually make stuff out of stone and wood....

I already did the giant chess board and checkers board... no one ever plays them with me =\
Oh well I envisioned your pieces to be like 10 to 15 blocks well then what can I say your friends are no fun

I've played my chess board like twice, and it's really fun to play. It's kind of like being in the end of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, with the big moving chess pieces. It's a really dynamic way to play the game.
I just wish I had friends that liked chess lol

Maybe no one feels like destroying then rebuilding the pieces every move
THEY'RE EACH MADE OUT OF ONE OR TWO BLOCKS!
It takes like 2 seconds to move each piece!
