I have yet to start on my town yet, However May I suggest starting your town with a Town square at the spawn point (If possible) so that everyone will start you game off in town square. Just an idea.....

Well I've never made a medieval type village before.

However, here are some YouTube videos I've seen that show off peoples villages from the PC version.
