I have two slimefarms that are multi-tiered with 5 separate levels each. Sometimes I will go off and build, harvest my stealth farm, or stand in my mob grinder to collect drops. I will then go back to my slime farm area and the slimes have over spawned.
I mean 50+ slimes in each level for 5 levels x2. Well over 500 slimes between both farms. As I get close to the farms my Xbox can not handle it. Framerate is around 1 or lower, I cannot even dashboard as it takes over 20 seconds to fully pull it up. This has happened in my game and my brothers who also has a similar slime farm design. You can not kill any of them because they push you before you even get close to the door, not to mention the game can not register the hits on the slimes at all - the only option is to either patiently dashboard or reset the xbox and then load it again.
Anyone else have this problem?
This also for me demonstrates that the world size may be as large as we get as just some slimes can cause the xbox to "break".

Sssssssssssssssssssssso is that your mansion? *BOOM!*
Wow that's a lot of slimes! LOL I can't even get three to spawn before I get bored and run off to kill sheep It sounds like a glitch of some kind with the slime spawns. I know there is a mob cap, I forget what the cap is but I know it is way below 500.
Anything in great numbers can cause the Xbox to "break"
Large numbers of mobs can also crash the PC version. It's just something video games can't currently handle that well. Even some big budget AAA games have the same issue from time to time.
Haha man tell me about it. You're not the only one. I had to reduce my spawning pads, but you can put a drowning system in which they break up to smaller slimes. and eventually split into slime balls. Do this so there's no need for killing them yourself. there's alot of tutorials on youtube.

I tried one with the long channels and the signs, but then they would not spawn on my pad. So I just went with multiple levels. Glad to see someone else also had the experience of a super laggy game due to the slerms.

I had the same problem. Multiple slimes will drop frame rate if you don't keep up with harvesting.
Worse yet, since they do not despawn you have to suffer the frame rate drop till you get them all.
Solution. If you find your not staying on top of harvesting, convert the existing holding pen into a flood box(man I cannot wait till pistons) drown them if your not going to stick around to harvest. I have to clear my harvest room every 30 or so minutes or I'll start dropping frames.
All this slime, and yet people have yet to realize your going to need redstone and iron as well. Easy to find, but have you stock piled it?
