Hey guys & gals,

I am a new player to Minecraft. I have played the various demos on my phone, tablet, etc. So I am just starting out. I have gone through the demo so I am familiar with crafting. I just bought the full version last night. So addictive!

I have some various questions that I need help with.

1. How to I join an online game? Can i join a random server or do I have to be invited to join?

2. What is up with the seed generator for maps? Are there any good map seeds that i can use? Maybe a map without many mountains?

3. On the level, how can I pull up a map to see what the level looks like? I enjoy building roadways and I would like to see where I am in relation to the game map.

1. You have to be friends with someone to join their minecraft session.

3. I have no idea what you are asking about. Yuo start the game with a map and fill it in as you explore. Put it on the hotbar and switch to it.

1. for now you gotta be friends with someone and if they either invite u or if they didnt check the invite only box

2. many great seeds you can google it or look around the forums

3. you get a map in your inventory when you start but if you lose it u can make another 1 (its in same category as the clock)

A great seed for mountains is the seed 10110101
It has a ton of them, just look around. The map is only for seeing the place you have explored. You can't zoom in and see your buildings...although a sat view of the world would be cool you could see your friends walking around.

3: You cant see what the level looks like if its mountains or not.

Notch seed is a pretty flat land if u want to start tehre i hope this helped I see that 1 and 2's been answered so i jsut answered 3
