I've played for many hours yet have just come across traps. Can any of you MC vets link to or give some simple ideas for mob traps? Where do I begin? Any honest help would be great.

My GT is OperaMando, btw.

Thing is I just found a mob spawn so i wanted to take advantage of it if I could, I just don't know how to get started on a trap or grinder.

The grinder that I use (which works pretty well for me) is a combination of 2 YT videos.

This one is the base (grinder):

And then I have around 8 or 9 tiers of this on top (spawner):
