So, I bought the 360 version about a month ago, and I was immediately disappointed to discover that I'd just paid $20 for a half baked version of the game. I want to know if it is supposed to eventually receive all the same elements as the PC version, because right now I'm pretty POed. I expected a full version of minecraft and got a mockery. So tell me, what's the deal, here?
So far, the plan goes like this: 1.6.6 (which is what we are in right now) --> 1.7.3 --> 1.8.2 --> 1.2.3.
Whether or not it'll ever come to par with the PC is yet to be said (as far as I'm aware of).
I imagine we'll get most, if not all. Some things might not work out, but they'll try. Plus, we'll get a few exclusives that the PC won't have, at least until someone makes a mod for it.
4J announced previously that the 360 edition "will reach current PC version and beyond" with the 1.8 update being the most significant challenge they have to face.
Why do you expect it to be just like the PC version?
Because that's what a port is?
I understand the purpose in your post was to suggest people be grateful for the 360 Edition, but really.... there's no reason to be so negative about the expectation that a direct port is going to resemble the original product......
No, because the exbox 360 edition is supposed to be different. And the PC version 1.3 is almost out and we are barely on 1.73... They will keep updating while we do, but we will not catch up. We will have different things, they will too.

Religion, has actually convinced people, that there's an invisible man, living in the sky, who watches everything you do every minute of the day, and the invisible man has a special list. Of 10 things he doesn't want you to do. And if you do ANY of these ten things he has a special place, full of fire, and smoke, and burning, and torture, and will send you there to suffer and choke and scream for all of eternity... But he still loves you.
4J has said to expect that 360 Edition will receive updates and features. It will be a port plus an edition that stands on it's own. I forget the exact quote. Go find it if you want.

It's the Xbox version.
If we get anything like the PC one, we're lucky.
If we get any goodies that the PC doesn't have, we're really lucky.

And the crafting interface..... And possibly a CTF game....
Your definition of "no" is odd.
