This topic is just for members to discuss the pros and cons of the Xbox 360 edition of Minecraft. My thoughts: I think that it's definitely a good game. I don't have a great computer of my own that can run Minecraft, so I always had to have the graphic settings down. But with the Xbox 360 edition, there was zero lag and I could play with what would be the best graphic settings. It's obviously better than the mobile edition, but inferior to the pc version due to the fact that it is so behind in updates! I wish they would add the adventure update and strongholds in the Nether. So, what are your thoughts?
PC: More cool stuff. But that's eventually coming to Xbox. Unlimited worlds.
Xbox: Easier control (I hate keyboarding a first-person game). This I took care of on PC by just mapping my XBox controller to the keyboard. Easier (if limited) multiplayer. It's neat being on a server with 400 players, but the multiplayer on PC is just laggy as all get out, and I'm not running on a crap PC. Xbox's max-8-players MP is just fine, especially considering it's unfortunately limited world size.
At the moment, I play on the PC updated to the very latest snapshot... you non-PC'ers are going to flip when Xbox gets some of this cool stuff. But only single player for now. I play the Xbox version to build things for multiplayer, and play with friends.
I enjoy the xbox version more for the multiplayer. The friends I prefer to play online with have the xbox version so it's nice to enjoy the game with them. The one thing I would like brought over to the xbox version would be servers( I know 4J said they are looking into it, it is not a deal breaker by any stretch of the imagination, it would just be nice to play if the host wants to go to bed and everyone else is still up.)
The other nice thing about the xbox version is little to no lag.

Amen on the lack of lag. And I really hope the server thing gets done... even if we have to pay for it. If they can do it for BF3, why not Minecraft?
Simple - 50 inch HD TV curled up on my cozy couch with my girlfriend (whom I can play co-op with). Beats the heck out of sitting at a desk on my laptop.
Because MCXBE doesn't have 1.8, and 1.8 was God awful. I couldn't bear the Hunger meter. It was an incredible inconvenience for somebody who wanted this simple sandbox to remain a sandbox. I fear that once the console version is updated to 1.8, I either won't update it at all or will play on Peaceful indefinitely.
Also, enchanting and everything released with/after the full release of the game was almost as bad. Tools suck now unless enchanted, and in order to enchant you need to fight monsters. Cool. It's almost as if I'm being forced to play it as an Adventure game when I just want my damned sandbox.
Lastly, as everyone else said, the framerate. It's smooth and there are no lag spikes.
I enjoy the fact of playing with friends over xbox on the mic. Rather than using it on my low-end computer with turned down graphics that make it look like ****. Plus no lag and great graphics
Hey im looking for people skilled in details and was wondering if anyone could teach me and my gamer tag is my name put a message telling me if your going to friend me or something. Thanks.
It's definitely easier to play with friends in multiplayer. I hate that you can't do split screen unless you have an HD T.V. I do like the new LAN settings they added to the PC version though.

I like it because it runs smoother, there's no cheating (mods) so everyone's on the same level, and only friends can play.
