Was just wondering...does the 404 seed work on this version? Or does it only work in Beta 1.3?
If it is, i'm going down there Gonna be AWESOME! Than, I'm gonna restart, and map the whole thing out.
Its the seed i use, actually. My favorite by far. Everything is so....unnatural lol. Beaches of gravel, biome specks.....floating trees. LoL...its all so neat to see. I actually have a desert biome in a 6-8 area of my front lawn at my island home. I know that the game considers it a desert biome because when it rains, if you step there the rain is gone lol.
Its a seed. When you go to create a world, you can put a "seed" into the seed slot. This will make the game generate a specific world instead of a random one. 404 is the seed. You just type 404 into the seed tab when creating a new world and you will get it generated. Its a really neat one, but I'm awful at describing things. Jaked, 404 is a seed noteworthy for a gravel beach near the most common spawn point that will collapse into a chasm that leads all the way down to layer 11 (where all the lava pools appear commonly) as soon as you mine any one of the blocks. It's most notable for the '404 challenge', which is where you play on normal or hard. You start in the 404 seed and you have until the first nightfall to gather as many supplies as you can. When night hits, you go to said gravel beach, mine a gravel block, and then let a water fall that rushes into the hole sweep you down to the lava layer. Once down there, you have to survive: you can't use torches or return to the surface.
It's one of the most fun survival challenges from the old terrain seeds.

Indeed I do/did, maybe that's it... Not for a long while though, My Xbox Died. I was unable to play disks for about 6 months. Just got a new one in April. (maybe you killed me a few times) Anyway, my apologies to the OP for going off topic. Back to the 404 challenge It does work and is a very cool seed. Everyone should start a world before the update IMO. It's a lot of fun using the older seeds.
