Well i think is good news for us XBLA players. It seems mojang is doing what 4J did for minecraft. They got rid of singleplayer and now base it off of multiplayer shell. In doing this they found ways to lower ram, cpu etc for the game so far.
I think this is a bonus for us as when 4J catches up to 1.3 ya obviously awhile from now then we gain some boost from the updated codes yay... maybe even then if we dont have bigger worlds we may be able to increase them by some. one can only hope.
But i think the best thing is that since they will be doing this then they will start optimizing code for this change and that may help optimize 4J code even more. So that gives us more resources to utalize.
Maybe 4J and Mojang are speaking together on this matter and joining forces to optimize or improve the game for both sides. If Steve can give us some insite on would this be something as an improvement or not would be helpfull. Thanks buddy

i think you got this a little backwards. Due to the single player being trashed by Mojang and making it a multi-player shell, it has become more spec intensive. Meaning you're going to need more of your CPU to run Minecraft. They are going to push back the optimization of the game back to 1.4.

Yes for PC it will go up but the XBLA version is already doing this setup Where the client joins a silent server on the xbox machine. So we are already effected by this. Its really a downside for PC people and and PLUS for us. Alot of things we have to deal with the pc people will now start to notice, like the host laggin in his own game etc.. So with this mojang knowns their game inside and out and may do improvments for the PC version that will make ours better also without 4J having to sweat it out.

ahh, you confused me slightly. I figured you were talking about the PC version and what we had to look forward to about the cup/ram changes.
