I havent been seeing any slimes lately but before the updates i saw three and all three were big and when i killed them they didnt split up or drop anything, did this get fixed ?

Not yet. Only the little slimes drop slime balls. You pretty much need to punch the big ones until they split down.

but they wouldnt split before, do they split now

You have to kill a slime with exact damage for it to split, if you overkill it then it will just disappear. hit it with only your hand and it will always split. Also only the small slimes drop slimeballs, its supposed to be that way, its not a glitch.

thanks for the help, just yesterday i found 3 slimes and got 20 slimeballs, its so tempting not to duplicate them

You don't have to punch the slime to make it split. Using a bow and arrow works better, and it's safer. 4 arrows will split the big guy, one arrow will split the medium, and 1 arrow to kill the small. It's a waste to kill the small one's with an arrow though. They can't hurt you, so it's better just to wait till they're all small, then go nuts on them with any weapon.
