I made a portal the other day, correctly. 4 * 5 blocks of obsideion, but when it takes me to the Nether, it's just the Netherblock. I've mined about 50 blocks up and down and there's just more block. I don't know what to do, HELP!!!!!

I had this problem when I made my initial portal way down deep next to bedrock in the overworld.
The portal in the Nether put me in a tiny chamber way down deep, near the nether bedrock. Trying to mine upwards always encountered lava.
Just destroying the underground portal in the overworld and re-creating it on the surface did not fix the problem for me (it took me to the same under-lava portal in the Nether).
I fixed it by destroying the portal in the Nether, then died to return to the overworld (cost me one diamond pickaxe).
Then going through the surface-level portal in the overworld had to re-create a new portal in the Nether, which it did, far above the lava.
One alternate idea: dig horizontally through the Nether from your under-lava portal until you hit side-wall bedrock. Then dig very carefully up at a diagonal. You still may encounter lava, so go cautiously. After multiple failed attempts and direction-changes, I was able to find my way up to an open chamber that ultimately led me above the surface of the lava lake. Fairly harrowing, but possible.

Just keep digging or do as Urban_Blackbear says
