Okay before I ask please don't flame. I have known about mine craft for quiet sometime. But never played it on PC. So my question is what is the little level up number in the middle of the hub for. And will xbox ever get leveling system? Please explain to me what is it. thank you
it comes with the 1.8 adventuring update. It increases by killing mobs and in the new snapshot by mining ores, you can spend the levels you get on enchantments for armour, weapons and tools. like efficiency so you mine faster, unbreaking so tools last longer.
wow im actually surprised no one flamed him...thats really surprising good on you guys for not being asses jimmy0341 and welsh_cled you two get a lifetime supply of theoretical cookies
Well look at it this way, it's taken them this long to add pistons to the game
If it keeps going at this sort of speed, we should have npc villages by 2015, by which point the pc version is going to be another ten steps ahead
The game came out in what, May? Let's see... May-June-July. Two whole months... yikes! Yeah, it'll take forever.

At this rate, I'm expecting 1.8 by September... but if we have it by November, I'd be fairly happy. Best case scenario: It's caught up (basically) to the current PC version 1.2.5 by Christmas. Worst case, next spring.

1.6.6 (Pc) released May 31, 2011
1.7.8 (Pc) released July 8, 2011
1 and a half months. Or so
We had
1.0 (1.6.6) released May 9th
1.1 (Bug Fix) release June 15th
1.2 (1.7.3) will be releasing soon.
Atm we've got a relatively equivalent time span. @MrSpam, the bug fix update was an update released because thousands of players are able to find bugs a lot easier and a lot faster than an officer of 18 workers and some Microsoft testers. Thats why some games choose to have betas given to thousands or hundreds of players (example, Reach, Gears 3) so they could have the game and start reporting the hell out of a good chunk of bugs. So it's unfair to say 4J should have had the bug fix out the day of release because it simply wasnt possible.
Furthermore, for a staff of 18 (or so, last I checked it was a staff about that size) they're moving along rather quickly in my opinion considering some are working on 1.7 while others work on 1.8, so shush up and let them do the jobs they're pulling off rather well. Hell they even manage to answer all our questions and complaints almost all the damn time

I can't tell if you're trolling or serious or just a downright hater, either way you're wrong. 4J said that they're updating MC faster than the PC was updated and eventually they will actually be all caught up to PC MC. I don't know why you think it'll be 2015 for the NPC village or why I'd be waiting a long time for enchantment and xp bars when they'll be here around Aug.-Nov. I guess you don't do research and maybe you should cuz so it won't make you look like an idiot
