Now, We all know in this version that when you pause the game in single-player (offline game) then it freezes the world. But not in multiplayer (online game) and i think that this is good, but what if you are the only one on the world... I think if you are the only one on the world and you pause the game it should freeze the world until you un-pause the game or someone else joins. That way a creeper cant come up behind you and blow you up when your the only target or, only one on the world. Its simple, but effective.

I wait til i'm inside my crib to pause the game. Since I first started playing I've made the mistake 1 too many times of pausing the game to gameplan when 3 creepers trap me in a corner in a dark cave
If you're nowhere near a hut and you need to brb, dirt is your friend. If you're on the surface, just tower up 3 blocks, over 1 blcok, then destroy the first 3 blocks and then build straight up 9 more blocks. Skeletons can't shoot you and spiders can't climb to you because they cant reach the bottom block of your safety tower.
If you're in a cave, back yourself into a corner then shell yourself in2 blocks thick. When you come out, dig the bottom block so you can see if something is lying in ambush on the other side of the shell.
Oh, and sneak so that griefers don't see you idling as easy.
Or, if you're playing single player, it's not that hard to uncheck the online game box. then you get actual pauses.
