Yes, I've suddenly developed a Netherportal that is unusable. I can't enter the Netherworld without my xbox freezing up. I know that this is not an uncommon problem and I was hoping to find a solution online or in the update notes. So far I am not seeing a way to make the gate work properly again.

I would seriously dislike to abort my current world and start over. Maybe someone here knows of a way to fix this issue?

I have had the same issue. I have tried many a time to enter the nether but I just can't. Haven't had any luck finding a solution either.

I have not tried that. I will have to give it a go and hope for the best. I will post back on whether it worked or not.

UPDATE: Just tore the portal down and rebuilt it. Still can't enter the Netherworld.

Does the game actually freeze, or are you simply stuck inside the portal unable do anything?

Maybe moving your portal farther away to a less build intesive area or so you appear elsewhere in the nether? Possible the nether attempting to be rendered is to much, causing a lock up?

I've done that. I have tried relighting and relocating and still nothing.

it happened to me once but when I restarted it worked fine. is it still happening after you restart?

It freezes completely. The xbox is completely unresponsive. I have to do a hard shut down in order to quit the program.

I will have to see if relocating it will work. The area it's in is pretty built up. Not right next to it but in the same general area. I did tear it down and rebuild it but that didn't stop the problem.

If that doesn't work you might need to start a new map. i know that sucks but if you can't experience the nether in 1 map you definitely need to in another map. Or like some people said change location first. i didn't think people were having such a big problem w/this. After 1 restart it's been fine even when starting new maps

i had this problem many times. on my other Xbox it seems to work fine and when i tried it again on my other one it worked so i think you should wait after you build your nether portal or enter it a different way than before

I had the problem of leaving but then fixed it. Anyway, justmake another one and it should fix it. If your game freezes while trying to leave, message me because I found the sollution.

I will have to locate a nice out of the way place and see about building another portal and hope for the best. If it doesn't work I will just have to do without the Netherworld resources. I can (probably) drop this map after I finish one or two projects and be okay with starting again. Boy, is that hard to say. This map has exceeded my expectations and, is frankly, gorgeous!

I hope you can relocate and that it works for you and if it doesn't then I'm sorry you have to start another map after you complete your projects. it sucks if you can't visit the nether. It's a crazy place

UPDATE: Tried relocating the portal to no avail. (Game still locks up.) Hopefully 4J will be able to replicated the problem and find a fix for it.
