Who knows about when, but I have a partial idea for what! They could do a 3D pixel art feature for creative mode, since by the time they add kinect it should be up to 1.8.
I don't know how Minecraft with Kinect will work.
How will you fight mobs? By moving your arm up and down fast?
How will you move and jump at the same time? By putting your leg up and jump?
How do you swim and move at the same time? Flail your arms up and down like a bird and move your foot up?
How will you place blocks? By slamming your arm in the air and stopping mid-way?
These will be exhausting. The only good things for Kinect is Kinect Adventure and I only use Kinect for the mic.
I'm not what you would call a supporter of the Kinect, but I will say one thing about it. Go to a friend's house, invite a few people over. Once everyone gets drunk enough and decides it's time to play Dance Central, you WILL have a blast.
I just don't understand why people get so butt hurt about the Kinect. Don't want one, don't buy one. Don't like it, don't use it. It's not like they are going to make the game Kinect only. They definitely aren't forcing you to use it, yet people still get so hostile about it.
The reason for that is because Microsoft believe that they have to slap support for Kinect on all kinds of games, regardless how stupid it is. And to add insult to injury, they include some more or less nice in-game feature that can be used only via Kinect.
Best example is Halo: Combat Evolved Annversary. That you can reload/switch weapons, throw grenades, etc. via Kinect voice commands doesn't bother me. But that you can scan killed opponents and add them to your in-game library only if you have Kinect is something I still haven't forgiven them.

Stand in the middle of the room.
Make pickaxe motions for 10 minutes straight, by the clock.
Let us know how that works out for you....

Kinect is evil. End of story.
