I remember them talking about adding Kinect support awhile ago. However, I don't think they mentioned adding Kinect features since last year. So did they just give up on the idea, or are they going to add it eventually?
yeah so you could just stand there swinging your arms. Lol sounds fun.
Pretty sure you wouldn't have to repeatedly swing your arm. It'd be like other Kinect games where you hold your arm out and hold it to perform the action.
I just don't understand why people get so butt hurt about the Kinect. Don't want one, don't buy one. Don't like it, don't use it. It's not like they are going to make the game Kinect only. They definitely aren't forcing you to use it, yet people still get so hostile about it.

Kinect features are usually tacked on and useless. I've had my Kinect since July of 2010, when Microsoft sent them out for beta testing. Since then I've used it about 6 times, total. The time spent on adding a Kinect feature could easily be used to add something better, and more useful to the gameplay.
i agree with both sides of the debate. I feel, for now 4J should focus on normal gameplay and DLC. though i also feel, even if its only able to hold my attention for a few moments, it would be pretty awesome to "be" Steve.

That's you, not everyone. I use my Kinect almost every day on a multitude of games. I have about 7 Kinect only games, and then a few that just have Kinect functionality like Skyrim and Mass Effect 3. It's not the Kinect's fault that people see it as tacked on and useless. It's the developers who utilize it that cause that. I for one will use my Kinect on Minecraft if it ever happens.

But there are alot more gamers out there who feel that the kinect is useless and that MS should be trying to concentrate on exclusives(not kinect exclusives mind you) and not forcing Kinect down our throats while pushing away most hardcore gamers. This whole advertisin to the causual gamer is almost nauseating to the fullest. When they implemented Kinect in ME3 I almost lost it tbh.
Well like you said yourself that's you not everyone else. I, and a lot more other people dislike Kinect and the games that are offered. Most, MOST hardcore gamers are turned off by Kinect and the games. MS pushes out more Kinect crap than exclusives and in turn they're actually pushing some of the hardcore gamers away
There should be no such thing as a "hardcore" or "casual" gamer. It servers no purpose using those labels other than to divide the community into horrible stereotypes. I kick ass when playing Call of Duty, but I love playing Kinect Adventures and all of the motion based party games it has.
It's a new piece of technology that will take time to fully utilize, the exact same way new consoles are when they come out. If 4J can utilize it the right way for Minecraft, it will enhance the game.

I understand what you mean about hardcore/casual and i wasn't saying because you use Kinect you're a casual gamer, I have a friend who is the same way and loves kinect but the categorization of hardcore/casual has already been in effect for awhile now. On IGN,Gamespot, and even by MS marketing team and I believe until MS starts making xbox exclusives again that this will carry on and on into next gen. If you use Kinect that's fine but when MS completely disregards the gamer fanbase that made them what they are today then it gets a little irritating

I know what you mean as well. I however don't think the Kinect is to blame for Microsofts lack of exclusive. I think it's the fact they are trying to be an everything system right now. A web browsing, movie streaming, music streaming, and gaming system. They are spreading themselves thin in many places. Once they get everything said and done though, I think they'll return to beef up their gaming again. Maybe not this generation, but probably with the next Xbox that comes out.

You're right. they are trying to be the "end all be all" entertainment system and hopefully like you said they will beef up their gaming again in next gen, (fingerscrossed) and also like you said when they implement kinect functions into MC they better do it right cuz if they do I might even have to buy a kinect sensor
I personally hope not. I haven't found any Kinect games released so far that actually works ... at all. Until there are any .. it's basically a non-working gimmick.

thats a good question if they are still planning to do kinect how the hell would it work i mean with a game like minecraft there wouldnt really be any features (that i can think of) that would even make sense
I know they haven't. Microsoft probably beats it into 4J's head everyday reminding them to put Kinect support in MC.
